Evaluation of parental anxiety and treatment challenges in neonates undergoing nasoalveolar molding for cleft lip and palate during the COVID-19 pandemic
Summary of the necessity of the plan
The widespread spread of the corona virus and the high probability of infection in medical centers, including dental centers, have caused additional worry and stress to parents with babies undergoing nasoalveolar molding treatment. Considering the necessity of treating these babies at the right age to prevent further complications and the complexity of the treatment, as well as its significant impact on the quality of life and satisfaction of the parents, it is obvious that the possibility of recommending postponing the treatment is less important. Therefore, the therapist's awareness of the level of anxiety and the type of problems of parents with babies undergoing nasoalveolar molding treatment can lead to better management and reduce the causes of their anxiety during treatment. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of anxiety and investigate the problems created during the treatment in relation to the restrictions caused by the covid-19 pandemic in parents with babies undergoing nasoalveolar molding treatment, so that the treatment can be carried out in order to minimize the anxiety and problems of the parents. , planned and managed.
