Evaluation of the Effect of Photobiomodulation Therapy with a Wavelength of 940 nm on the Proliferation and Survival of Stem Cells from the Follicle of the Third Molar Tooth
Summary of the Project
Necessity:The use of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in tissue engineering has been extensively studied. The higher the proliferation of this group of cells, the greater the regenerative and healing capacity of the tissue to which they belong. In this context, photobiomodulation (PBM) is an efficient technique for proliferating various types of differentiated cells. However, the parameters and mechanisms of its action remain unclear and require further investigation. Therefore, the present study aims to evaluate the effect of 940 nm photobiomodulation therapy on the proliferation and survival of stem cells from the follicle of the third molar tooth.
