Synthesis and encapsulation of Equisetum arvense extract with chitosan and their effect on the differentiation of Endometrial stem cells into osteogenic cell
Summary of the necessity of project implementation
Osteoporosis is one of the few diseases that affects a wide range of elderly people around the world. In medical terms, osteoporosis refers to a condition in which structural weakness occurs in the body skeleton due to a decrease in bone mass and deterioration of bone structure, which leads to an increase in the risk of bone fracture. Due to the side effects caused by the use of chemical drugs that improve osteoporosis, scientists are looking for alternatives to such treatment methods. Among the alternative methods is the use of medicinal plants with less side effects. The horsetail medicinal plant with the scientific name L arvense Euisetum from the Equisetaceae family is a perennial herb with rhizomes and is native to the northern hemisphere. This plant contains significant amounts of silica, and that is why it is known as the Silica plant. Therefore, according to the above, this study is intended to be carried out with the aim of synthesizing and encapsulating the aqueous extract of horsetail plant with chitosan and its effect on the differentiation of endometrial stem cells into osteogenic cells.
