Investigating the effect of injection of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell exosomes preconditioned by hypoxia on tumor size, cognitive functions, and expression levels of inflammatory and apoptotic factors in glioblastoma model of rats
Summary of the need to implement the plan
Brain tumors are a group of abnormal cells with out-of-control division and growth in the brain, which include benign and malignant cancerous tumors, and are considered one of the most deadly cancers, accounting for more than 20% of cancer-related deaths in adults. And more than 30% in children are caused by brain tumors [1]. Brain tumors are divided into primary brain tumors and secondary brain tumors. Primary brain tumors originate from the tissue of the brain itself, and secondary brain tumors, which are also called metastatic brain tumors, originate from other tissues of the body and spread to the brain. Primary brain tumors originate from different brain cells and are named according to the cell from which they originate. More than 100 different types of brain tumors have been identified in humans, the most common of which are glioma, meningioma, schwannoma, pituitary adenoma, and medulloblastoma [2]. Gliomas refer to different types of tumors that originate from glial tissue, and based on cell morphology, mitotic activity and molecular % markers, they include a wide range of low-grade gliomas to high-grade gliomas, where high-grade gliomas are more than 80 Malignant brain tumors form in adults [3] Glioblastoma multiforme is the most malignant diffuse glioma, which is considered as grade 4 astrocytoma.
